Re: Catastrophic Disaster  

On behalf of my family and I, we would like to extend our sincere and heart felt thank you to everyone that has reached out to offer help, texts, calls, and messages regarding the catastrophic devastation that our family farm has sustained. Both quail houses were destroyed due to a tornado. We are very grateful and blessed that the houses were not occupied by any workers or family members. 

Our family has worked hard more than 100 years keeping this family farm operational. There has been countless hours, time and money invested in our family farm operation over the past 100 years that was destroyed instantly. Family farms are the backbone that provides food to the supply chain which consumers are depending on. 

As this is a very devastating and catastrophic time for our farm to endure. As our family has spent many nights around the clock cleaning up this catastrophic disaster, but we cannot begin the clean up with driveways being blocked preventing the response teams in getting the necessary resources into the farm. Driveways must remain accessible for the emergency agricultural crews. Our time and attention need to be focused on the disaster clean up in which only authorized individuals are allowed on the property. Anyone that is not an authorized individual that crosses fences, gates, or entering private property will be subject to trespassing. We do not authorize any individual(s) to enter private property under any circumstances to catch or to move any birds. All activities on the farm regarding the birds that are located on the farm are under Georgia Department of Agriculture oversight.  Georgia Department of Agriculture and inspectors are on site daily along with USDA, NRCS, and numerous other partners.
